Weekly Scripture Reading Genesis 17-32
This post is up a week late, due to technical difficulties. However, I hope you enjoy hearing the story of God's faithfulness to Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Reading of God's faithful preservation of these men, who would soon become the nation of Israel, is beautiful and faith-building. I was especially encouraged seeing Abraham's faith when God asked him to sacrifice Isaac.
Genesis 22:5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."
The faith Abraham had, that God would fulfill His promise of a nation coming from Isaac even though God had directly asked him to do something that seemed to make that promise impossible to fill, is so beautiful! May we all have faith like Abraham. Our God is able and He makes a way where there seems to be none.
