US calls for Security Council session on Gaza rocket attacks

Today, Israel was hit with the largest terror attack in the last four years. However, having sustained some casualties, most of the 100+ rockets fired on the state were intercepted and destroyed.
Israel has proven time and time again that they can defend themselves very well. Hamas is doing their very best to hit something, anything, in Israel!
"Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord GOD: On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know it? You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army." ~Ezekiel 38:14-15
"Dwelling securely" here doesn't mean that Israel will have no conflict on the day of Magog's attack. The original language tell us that it means Israel will be able to block attacks that come against it, that they can defend themselves effectively. Never has that been more true than it is today.
Behold Israel NEWS: US calls for Security Council session on Gaza rocket attacks
Rocket attacks from Gaza rise to 130; US calls for UNSC session; Council to meet Wednesday afternoon; IDF hit over 65 targets in Gaza Strip. *******************************
The United States called for an emergency session at the United Nations Security Council following dozens of mortar attacks from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
US Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, addressed the attacks from Gaza, calling on the UN to condemn the ongoing terror. She stated, “The recent attacks out of Gaza are the largest we have seen since 2014. Mortars fired by Palestinian militants hit civilian infrastructure, including a kindergarten. The Security Council should be outraged and respond to this latest bout of violence directed at innocent Israeli civilians, and the Palestinian leadership needs to be held accountable for what they’re allowing to happen in Gaza.”
The session is to be held Wednesday afternoon.
Barrages of mortars were fired at Israel beginning on Tuesday morning, the IDF retaliating after a kindergarten in southern Israel was hit. Rocket fire continued all day, the Iron Dome intercepted majority of the projectiles and the IDF conducting numerous airstrikes in the Strip. Gunfire and border clashes continued, three IDF soldiers sustaining injuries on Tuesday afternoon.
As of Wednesday morning, over 130 mortar shells, many provided by Iran, were fired from the Gaza Strip.
According to the IDF Spokespersons Unit, it attacked over 65 Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets. It reported that it's targeting “35 terror objectives in seven terror sites belonging to Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip, including six military compounds, munition storage warehouses, naval targets, and terror headquarters.”
Early Tuesday, the IDF located an additional terror tunnel that entered Israeli territory at the Kerem Shalom border crossing. The tunnel, as with all others, was neutralized, the IDF reporting, “This tunnel was designated for terror purposes and weapons smuggling. It was detected in its construction phase near the Kerem Shalom Crossing, through which humanitarian aid is transferred to Gaza residents…Instead of using humanitarian aid to better the lives of Gazans, Hamas uses the crossing for terror purposes.”
Addressing the terror from Islamic Jihad and Hamas, Prime Minister Netanyahu warned that Israel will “extract a heavy price from anyone who tries to attack it, and we view Hamas as responsible for preventing such attacks against us.”
Meanwhile, the Palestinians will take advantage of the UN Security Council session Wednesday and request an “international protection force” in the Gaza Strip.
