‘Swarmageddon’? More Than 1,000 Earthquakes Have Hit Southern California In Less Than A Month
It's strange that Lucy Jones says that these smaller quakes do not make "the Big One" more likely. In the same breath she says that "there’s only a 5% chance that any single quake will be followed by a larger one."
So, if I'm following correctly, there's a 5% chance for a bigger quake to follow any single quake, but California has had 1000 single quakes. How does that not make the big quake likely to happen soon?
With every consecutive quake, a big quake becomes more likely, not less. That 5% likelihood of a bigger quake says that a big quake will occur (on average) every 20 earthquakes, because 20 times 0.05 is 1 (100% likelihood). But we've seen 1000...
0.05 X 1000 = 50
That 50 means that we should have seen a bigger quake 50 times by now, just over the last two weeks alone!
And with every bigger quake the San Andreas fault line, that volatile and overdue disaster waiting to happen, gets closer and closer to going off. The "Big One" has been predicted to cause much of California to slide into the Pacific Ocean. Everyone will be affected by the devastation it will bring.
God is so patient and so incredibly gracious for all of the time he's giving people to turn to Him. This is a clear warning for all people everywhere to prepare to meet their maker!
