President Trump recently confirmed Israel's sovereignty over key areas of the land, including the Golan Heights. This is sure to make waves in Syria, as Assad has been claiming the Golan for himself over the past few years.

Isn't it interesting that both Netanyahu and Trump are being accused of serious crimes at the same time, and right before Trump is planning to reveal his Middle East peace plan? Why might that be?
The premise of Trump's plan, dubbed 'the Deal of the Century,' centers around a strong, prosperous, and undivided Israel. It has Palestinians gaining the equivalent of billions of US dollars in wealth as Israel works with them in engineering and trade, making peace the bargaining chip for continued association with the surrounding nations. Given how those nations are suffering economically, I think this plan, if accepted and enacted, has a chance to actually work. But I don't expect that the nations who hate Israel will ever agree to any plan involving a strong Israel. And then, of course, the war of Gog and Magog is coming.
