The Kurdish forces have been evacuated, so Russia and Turkey began patrolling their safe zone in Northern Syria. Russia claims that all of the Kurds are gone, but Turkish President Erdogan has his doubts.

Publicly, Netanyahu and Gantz say they want to form a unity government, but privately disagree on many aspects of how that government would be run. In a unity government, two leaders take turns running the country for shortened terms (about 18 months). The interesting (and frustrating) thing that the second prime minister to take office can undo many actions of the previous prime minister, including firing key officials, which would ultimately trigger yet another election process.

With all of the political drama unfolding in Israel, President Trump has delayed the unveiling of his much anticipated 'Deal of the Century' until an opportune moment. He wants the plan to work and will probably tailor its presentation to cater to whomever ends up being the prime minister.
